Driving Innovation: Shaking up the procurement process
Is the procurement process overdue an update? The new Procurement Act 2023, coming into effect in October, is arguably a step towards modernising public sector procurement and could be a game changer. What does the new legislation include and how could it prove beneficial? And are there other areas of procurement that need to be addressed to better acknowledge landscapes as living things? Our panellists consider how a different approach to procurement might enable better relationships between the client and the contractor – and ultimately benefit the end user.
Bio
A Chartered Landscape Architect with over 20 years of experience in designing, constructing, and managing parks and public spaces in London. He has led teams on large-scale regeneration and placemaking projects across London and the South East. Notable projects include iconic parks such as Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and The Regent’s Park.
